Elizabeth Tumilty set up her millinery business outside Ardee, County Louth in 2005. She studied bespoke millinery initially at the Janey Lashford school of Millinery in Evesham, England and then took private tuition in London from the most renowned royal milliner in the business, Madame Marie O Regan, who also had Philip Treacy as one of her students. 

Elizabeth also had the privilege of taking master classes in London with Royal Milliner Jane Taylor who creates hats for Kate Middleton and many other members of the Royal family; and also master classes with world renowned, award winning milliner Lina Stein. Elizabeth specialises in bespoke millinery, creating unique elegant hats and headpieces for weddings and ladies’ days at the races. Each Headpiece that Elizabeth creates, is handmade and hand dyed from start to finish, with a huge emphasis placed on the attention to detail., Elizabeth caters for brides, mother of the bride/bridegroom and guests.

Elizabeth’s vintage inspired bridal headpieces evoke a feeling of old Hollywood glamour. From Pearl and Swarsky encrusted headpieces to glamorous bird cage veils with elaborate detailing. Each design has a distinct and unique style, she also creates leather and crystal crowns which are quite on trend now. There is no doubt that Kate Middleton & Meghan Markle are a source of major hat inspiration for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth’s headwear has been worn by many well know fashionistas at the race track and her hats have won several best hat competitions. Some of Elizabeth’s creations have been donned by ladies at various events around the globe. Celebrities such as miss world, Rosanna Davidson, celebrity big brother’s Georgia Salpa, celebrity stylist Marietta Doran regular contributor to Xposé and ‘off the rails’ celebrity interior designer Ann-Marie Hamill from RTE’s showhouse and roomers.

Elizabeth won ‘best business award 2019’ at the bride of the year show at the RDS in Dublin.
